My first request was for a new car since mine couldn’t be trusted to go to the Post Office and back, which was problematic for a family of five.

Especially, since two were in college and one was in high school and my wife worked about thirty miles away.

Then there was the rent house we lived in. Every morning we had to sweep out hundreds if not thousands of dead ants before we could shower.

Turns out we lived on a gigantic anthill and they used our place as their cemetery.

Naturally, I asked for a new home and movers to move us.

After years of moving from house-to-house, city-to-city and state-to-state we craved stability.

We received all three the very same day five weeks later.

A moving van and two strong men moved us into a spacious five-bedroom two-bath home with a swimming pool and hot tub six blocks from the beach.

While I over saw them, Diane picked up our band new forest green Jetta. It wasn’t the Mercedes I asked, for but we loved it.

The Mercedes S-Class came a year later.

I had spent most of my life chasing the American Dream working long hard hours so I could achieve success.

What I got was a college degree and status among the working poor.

When I stopped pushing and striving and simply wrote down the details of my desires the flood gates opened and we were on way to a rich abundant life.
