My first college English Professor asked me what I wanted more than anything else. He was trying to inspire a creative paper.
My answer put a little smile on his face. He must have thought I was doing the freshman equivalent of a beauty queen wishing for World Peace.
I said, I wanted to make people see the beauty I see everywhere.
To keep peace and my good grade I wrote about driving a ’57 Chevy Bel Aire to California for the summer. Wrote about meeting a pretty girl after a Beatles Concert at the Hollywood Bowl and kissing her on the beach as the sun set over the Pacific.
He loved it. Wrote on my paper, “Maybe this summer, Tom!”
Heck, I did that in 11th grade. Just fictionalized it for him.
But what I really wanted and still do want is to find the right word. Say the right thing and throw that switch in your mind that opens your third eye and expands your consciousness.
That clears away the layers of dross deposited on your imagination after years of listening to those uninitiated pedants who believe this mundane, physical, transient vision we call reality is all there is.
I would consider myself a success if, only for a moment, you could see what I see. The awesome power of our rewritable matrix, the blank canvas, the changeable, malleable opportunity we are given to create the life we chose.
This is our world. Not a fixed set of parameters to which we must adapt, but an endless…an infinite series of possible outcomes awaiting our direction.
And all you have to do is ask and allow.
We can have any reality we choose to have. This difficult economy can vanish for you in the instant you understand that it is not real. It is an illusion. It is a construct of fear, hatred and self-doubt.
Let’s love each other despite our differences. Let’s love our enemies. Let’s love ourselves for the magnificent offspring of creation that we are. And know that God is always in charge.
Let’s create the reality we deserve. Where good and abundance reign. Where possibility is the norm. Where good health, joy and beauty define our lives.
Where we wake every morning singing, “I’m Rich Beyond My Wildest Dreams. I am. I am. I am.”
We can do this! You can do this!!
Trust in goodness, hope and everlasting possibility. Trust that the Universe is for your highest good. Trust that you cannot make a mistake and nothing can ever stop you with God in your heart.
This is the secret. This is the secret. This is the secret.

How on earth is this controversial? The secret is out; maybe some people “can’t handle the truth” – with a nod to Jack Nicholson…grin…
I think humans tend to get in their own way because we are more terrified by our MAJESTY than anything. We tend to give in to the (false) notion that we do not deserve (FILL IN THE BLANK)…
Whenever our energies resonate with that which we want, our dreams come true automatically. It’s a little like calling room service in a hotel and placing an order. As soon as it is known what it is you’d like to order, they bring it right up, pronto.
Just my view, you understand. Now where did you say that controversy lives?

Doesn’t sound controversial to me! It sounds perfectly reasonable. My daughter, Courtney – on the “other” side, would agree with just about all you wrote.
What’s controversial about that? Who would not agree? Oh hang on…………the “markets” are a bit worried and confused!

What beautiful pictures you paint, Tom. And I believe we can all have what you see. The difference between you and me is: you know how to attain all of it and I am just now learning. I am not a patient person. I want it all and I want it now, but Heavenly Father says, “Whoa, girl, you have to be a different kind of a person first. I have to teach you more. I’m going to do it thru the Pawleys. So listen and soon you can live like they do and see the world the way they do.” Ok, but will you hurry up already. I love you guys. How timely your words are for me this morning. I do see the beauty in this world and thank Divinity each day for the blessings I have, including the Pauleys. I do love my fellow man and accept that we’re all on our own path doing our own thing and must find our way, often with slips and falls.
I slipped yesterday. Instead of just accepting, moving on and letting it go, I fired off an email that wasn’t very accepting of the poor quality work a contractor had done for me. Simply reading your email woke me up again. He did his best. It just wasn’t what I was expecting. I lost my normal calm, philosophical outlook. I lost my ability to think with love and generosity in my heart.
Of course who would accept shoddy work. But the sharp email was well out of character for me. I would normally apply my pragmatic appraoch and move on. Oh dear, husband very amused as I’m normally counselling him not to react to externals, it’s all just ‘stuff’. Oops…
Thank you again Tom for reminding me what is important and what isn’t important.

Keep up the marvelous work. I truly hope to someday sit down over a drink with you someday and tell you my story and the role your work played in it. (It is in my notebook) It is a dynamic tale of laughter close calls and tears. (basically a metric sh** TON of chemicalization)

I agree with all what you said and i m sure there is all around the world a lot of persons who are seeking for something beyond this “pseudo reality” or Matrix , who are seeking and begining to realize the enormous and inner beautifull power (made of pure love, joy, spontaneity, confidence, gratitude, rightness…). I m from those persons .I begin my beautifull journey seven years before : “Know yourself ” and from that moment my life have changed positively and (because of the law of attraction 🙂 ) the previous year i meet in this path Mr. Tom Pauley and Mrs Peneloppe Pauley . I woul like to thank you sincerly for all what you are doing .Sharing all this knowledge that may help a lot of people solve their problems and make a better world.
